Bookkeeper Rotterdam
Boekhouder Rotterdam is the specialist for the self-employed. We are open seven days a week, including Saturdays and Sundays. We are also available after 18.00 hours. With us you pay a fixed price per month of 80 euros excluding VAT. It’s an all-inclusive price.
We take care of your bookkeeping, VAT returns, balance sheet and income tax return.
We have a wide variety of clients, from construction to healthcare and from engineer to copywriter and from IT specialist to IT freelancer. The difference with an authentic accountant is that we have adapted our working method to this time.
MT-940
We process everything digitally. You provide an MT-940 file from the bank. We process these and we request your sales invoices. We will then provide you with the questions and request the purchase invoices/cost invoices from you.
Especially after the corona crisis, we have made all our processes digital. Everything is delivered online, but we do provide tailor-made advice.
You will receive a balance sheet and profit and loss account from us, but no annual accounts. This is not mandatory for the self-employed person.
The balance sheet contains the same figures as in annual accounts and we also include them in the tax return. That is more than enough for the tax authorities.
Of course, we draw the attention of the self-employed person to tax benefits, such as the Investment Deduction. We look at whether there is an advantage to be gained from using your tax partner for the business of the case. And so there are plenty of aspects that can save you tax

Starting self-employed person
Many self-employed people change accountants every year. They look more at the value for money than they used to. Your grandparents probably had an accountant for life. It was passed on from generation to generation.
The internet has created more freedom to research what the supply and demand is and which number provider suits you best.
Bookkeeper in Rotterdam spends extra time on the starting self-employed person. You will receive additional assistance.
Do you have plans to start as a freelancer or do you need an expert and independent sounding board? Call us after 17:00. And for the experienced self-employed person, we act as a sounding board, listening, asking, summarizing, asking questions and holding up a mirror to you regarding costs and investments
Why a company car?
A self-employed person has quite a few advantages when he buys a car at the company. All costs of the car are deductible from the profit. This includes road tax, petrol or diesel, VAT on purchase, depreciation, maintenance costs, insurance, parking fees, and – possibly – leasing costs.
Unfortunately, but logically fines such as parking fines and speeding are not deductible costs for the self-employed person. However, it is not fiscally smart to buy every car for business purposes. In the case of a car between two and fourteen years old, we ask you to consult with your accountant.
It is recommended to book at least three types of car purchase for business purposes:
- the brand new car.
- the youngtimer (addition to the current value).
- the electric car (lower addition to taxable income).
However, you are dependent on the number of business kilometres you will drive.
The addition to taxable income when purchasing a new car
You buy a new car and book it on the balance sheet for business purposes. The addition fluctuates from 22% to 4%. All this depends on the year of first admission and the type of fuel. Call us when you want to buy a car, whether it is new or used.
At the end of the financial year, you have to pay 2.7% VAT on the list price of the car. We will include this in the final VAT return. This addition is lower (1.5%) if you have bought a margin car.
The addition to taxable income when purchasing a youngtimer.
When you purchase a youngtimer or your car is 15 years or older, you benefit from taxation. Only 35% of the daily value needs to be added. The current market value must be properly appraised. Ask a licensed appraiser for a statement.
There are cars that still drive like new after 15 years with few kilometers! Sometimes you can also import fairly cheaply and there is a large supply.
And yes, you can of course also put an old-timer on the business. Even then, the addition is only on the much lower current value.
